About PHP Exposure Check

A free exposure check for the most common attack surface on small business websites: the version of PHP running behind them.

What this tool does

PHP Exposure Check is a free, passive lookup. You enter a website address and we compare it against assessment records that were already collected, so we never scan, crawl or connect to the domain you type in. The answer you get back is a simple status: whether that site appears on our list of domains running an outdated or unsupported PHP version, or whether we hold no assessment for it yet. If we do hold a result, the technical detail is only released to someone who can receive email at that domain, which keeps one business's findings out of another business's hands.

Who it is for

This is built for the people who own or run a small or mid-sized website and want a straight answer without hiring a consultant first: business owners, office managers, marketing teams and in-house IT staff who are not sure what version of PHP is behind their site. It is also useful for agencies and bookkeepers who look after a handful of client sites and need a quick read on which ones deserve attention. You do not need any technical background to use it, and you do not need to install anything.

Who builds it

The tool is built and maintained by Global Tech Partners (GTP Cyber), an Australian managed security practice that works with growing businesses. The assessment data behind the check comes from our own monitoring, and when a site needs remediation our team handles the upgrade and hardening work directly. If you would rather talk it through than read a status card, you can contact us any time.
